Email Accounts for Free

Free email accounts are needed for many reasons. Having anonymity online is one of the main reasons that you may choose to open a free email account. You have no idea with whom you are talking When you are talking to people online. Some people choose to have free email accounts because this makes them apprehensive about the internet. You do not have to worry about anyone tracking you down when you open free email accounts.

When you use your primary email account, which is the one that you use to get online, you normally have to provide information such as your real name, address and phone number. If you have internet access through the cable network or phone, your internet account is then linked to that information. You have to pay for internet access from your home in one way or another, so you have to provide information to the company that gives you the service. This can be a number of different companies.

If you use that email address, it can be traced back to you through a number of different ways. There are reverse email directories that can find the address of a person through their email address, as long as they are using their regular email account. You can ask that your email account information be blocked, just as you would your telephone number, but most people do not know how to do this and some companies charge money for this service.

Instead of doing that, you can open free email accounts. Free email accounts such as those opened at Google or Yahoo are easy to open and you do not have to provide your real name, address or phone number. The only thing that you will have to provide is an email account. You can use your regular email account for this.

When you use free email accounts, those who use a reverse email directory to look you up by your email address will not find out anything about you. You are guaranteed anonymity online when you use free email accounts.

Most free email accounts have a yahoo, gmail, hotmail or other suffix that pretty much states that they are free email accounts. You can still do a reverse email account look up with free email accounts and might find out the information that you need as most people tend to use their real names. If you want to be anonymous, however, you can do so by opening up free email accounts.

By opening free email accounts, you are not doing anything wrong. You are merely protecting yourself from the unknown people with whom you are communicating online. You will find that most people you meet online are very nice people, but every once in a while you may find someone who is not so nice. Using free email accounts is for times like these.
