All About Email Addresses

It used to be that email addresses had to be obtained through the service that you used for your Internet, and they were difficult to get. Most likely you have what is known as a "primary" Internet email account. This is your primary account and used as your main email address. This is one that will remain with you for as long as you have the service, and one that you cannot change.

Most likely, your internet service provider also gives you the option of opening other email addresses. You can usually have several email addresses under one name. You may have kept the same email address for many years if you have not changed carriers. In this case, if someone looks up your email address in a reverse email directory, they will get the same information that you gave when you opened up your email account.

You can often find someone through their email addresses by using a reverse email directory. This is a directory that is similar to a phone directory. It can give the name, phone number and address of someone who has this listed on their email. For this reason, many people choose free email addresses when they are online. When you use free email addresses that you get through Yahoo or Google or other sites that offer free email addresses, you can be a little more anonymous.

Some sites that you decide to venture onto, however, may not accept free email addresses as your real address. They will only accept an email address that they know is a primary email address. This can be the case if you sign up for auction sites or even some online merchant account sites. In such cases, you may want to skip the site altogether or use your real email address, provided that they agree not to share your information with anyone.

You can often find email addresses if you sign up for one of the email search sites that will not only give you the email addresses of anyone you are looking for (as long as they are listed with their real name) but can also give you the information in reverse. You will often pay a monthly or yearly fee to belong to these type of sites that can get you any of the information that you want pertaining to email addresses. If you have been looking to find someone with whom you lost contact, you can do so by joining one of the email addresses lookup sites that allow you to pay monthly or yearly for all the information that you want.

In some cases, you may want to contact and greet well remembered relatives or friends from years ago. Sending an email to anyone is more than fine, even at times when a phone call may seem inappropriate. Most people are happy to be reunited with family members and old friends. If you join a subscription site that provides finding email addresses as well as reverse lookup, it is easy to find these people.
